neoSCB Shines at UCL Festival of Engineering

Last week, the neoSCB team had the exciting opportunity to present our groundbreaking jaundice detection app at the UCL Festival of Engineering. The event spanned three days, with an industry-focused day followed by two days open to the general public. Our table featured baby dolls to demonstrate how our app works in real-time and posters to raise awareness for neonatal jaundice.

On the industry day, professionals from various sectors visited our booth, showing great interest in the technical aspects and potential applications of neoSCB. We were thrilled to discuss the app’s innovative approach and the science behind it with engineers, healthcare professionals and potential collaborators.

The following day, the festival opened to the general public, attracting families and enthusiasts. Many visitors were particularly drawn to our demonstration because they could relate to their own familial experiences with newborn jaundice. Our baby doll demonstrations showcased how easily parents can use neoSCB to screen for jaundice using just a smartphone and the response was overwhelmingly positive.

Overall, our participation in the UCL Festival of Engineering was a tremendous success, helping us raise awareness about neoSCB and its mission to improve newborn jaundice screening. We look forward to more opportunities to share our work and engage with both the industry and the public in preparation for our market release!
